January 16, 2025 – The Indian Cancer Society (ICS), India’s first and foremost nationwide voluntary organization dedicated to cancer care, is proud to announce their inspiring 74th Founders Day event, “Painting a Future – Art Against Cancer.” This unique art exhibition will showcase paintings by leading contemporary Indian artists, blending creativity with compassion to support the larger cause of cancer care.
The exhibition will take place at the renowned Jamaat Art Gallery, located in Colaba, Mumbai, showcasing remarkable works by highly acclaimed contemporary artists, including Anjolie Ela Menon, Sakti Burman, Jayasri Burman, Asit Patnaik, Brinda Miller, Gautam Mukherjee, Jatin Das, Jaideep Mehrotra, Nayanaa Kanodia, Sujata Bajaj, T Vaikuntam, Pooja Kshatriya, Vivek Kumavat, Vijender Sharma, and many more, who have generously contributed their works for the Indian Cancer Society’s 74th Founder’s Day Fundraising Event. Adding a heartfelt touch, paintings by members of UGAM, the Indian Cancer Society’s childhood cancer survivors support group, will also hold a place of honor in the exhibition.
This week-long event will run from January 18 to 24, 2025, welcoming visitors daily from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. A special preview evening is scheduled for January 18 at 6:00 PM, offering art enthusiasts and patrons an exclusive first look at the exquisite paintings on display. By purchasing these one-of-a-kind pieces, attendees will directly contribute to the Indian Cancer Society’s mission of creating awareness, supporting early detection efforts, and providing vital support (financial, emotional and rehabilitation) to cancer patients and cancer survivors. By purchasing these exquisite works of art, patrons will play a pivotal role in helping ICS achieve its vision of being a beacon of hope against cancer.
