The project aligns with our Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s push for Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan. We have set foot in Madhya Pradesh over 50 years ago with our graphite plant in Mandideep – this is now a global milestone with the single largest graphite plant setup in one location. Therefore, I have every reason to believe Madhya Pradesh will become a significant manufacturing hub.”

Riju Jhunjhunwala, Chairman- TACC Limited said, “China currently dominates about 90% of the anode production market. TACC is an attempt by the LNJ Bhilwara Group to position India in the green energy landscape and reduce our carbon footprint. Our company has a strong focus on R&D and with the advanced materials we are geared up to cater to other sophisticated materials like Graphene, Hard carbon for sodium ion batteries and graphite for Hydrogen applications as well.”

Ankur Khaitan, MD & CEO- TACC Limited said, “Our mission is to support Indian manufacturers by supplying world-class quality anode material. Also, our mission is expected to reduce the dependency of the Indian industries on imports. The upcoming plant will cater to about 20 GWh of cell manufacturing capacity and we are likely to generate directly and indirectly about 1000 new jobs. This project signifies not just a monetary commitment but a bold step towards innovation, sustainability, and prosperity.”

The production of these essential lithium-ion battery components locally in India will reduce the cost of cell production, helping the country advance its green energy goals.
