Speaking to the media, Mr. Surendra Kr. Sharma, General Secretary of Youth Association of Mohammad Ali Park Durga Puja said, “We came with the idea of constructing the replica of Kedarnath temple because of the fact that many of us have not visited Kedarnath and through this pandal they can have glimpse of the holy shrine and they can feel that they are doing Darshan of one of the twelve jyotirlinga of Shiva. The outer look of the pandal is exactly how the Kedarnath temple looks. This year, ‘Shiva is Shakti’ will be shown in the form of Mother’s idol. This idol of Mother Goddess is being made by the famous craftsman Kush Bera of Midnapur. According to the theme, the lighting is from Chandannagar.”
