CSR Events Transform

New Delhi, 19th January 2024: Walplast Welfare Foundation, the corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm of Walplast, is making a significant impact on communities across various cities through collaborative events with Project Nanhi Kali. Significantly, the series of CSR events conducted across various cities serves as a testament to the continual dedication to social responsibility and community engagement, placing a spotlight on the profound impact that education has on the lives of children and communities nationwide.

The tangible outcomes of these CSR events are evident in the smiles of the young girls, the strengthened sense of community and the renewed enthusiasm for education. The engagement of Walplast employees, Channel Partners, and community associates in these events underscores the collaborative spirit that fuels the nationwide impact of these initiatives.

In Varanasi, a recent successful event witnessed over 30 young girls from the fifth grade, along with community associates, Walplast employees and Channel Partners participating in a day of celebrations and learning. The event, held at a local venue, featured engaging activities, captivating story-telling, an entertaining short movie, a challenging quiz and thoughtful gifts for the students. Attendees were able to witness the direct impact on the young minds and the community, fostering a sense of togetherness and positive transformation.

Walplast also extended its CSR initiatives to Nashik with more than 30 young girl students from the fifth grade onwards, along with community associates and Walplast employees. The event included engaging activities and thoughtful gifts for the students, complemented by refreshing snacks.

Mr. Kaushal Mehta, Managing Director of Walplast, expressed his satisfaction, stating, “Our partnership with Nanhi Kali is an investment in the future leaders of our society. Through this partnership, Walplast Welfare Foundation has made a substantial contribution to the education of over 800 young girls in different cities, including Palghar (Maharashtra), Bharuch (Gujarat), Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh), and Nashik (Maharashtra).

Established by Anand Mahindra in 1996, Project Nanhi Kali has positively impacted the lives of more than 550,000 girls across 15 states of India. Walplast’s CSR initiatives contribute significantly to this collective effort, actively fostering positive societal change.
