Aug 13: Michelin, the world’s leading tyre technology company, has significantly strengthened its retail presence in Chennai with the inauguration of four new Michelin Tyre and Services (MTS) outlets located in Gopalapuram, Adyar, Tambaram-Selaiyur, and Maduravoyal. Aligning with Michelin’s recently launched made-in-India Primacy 5 tyres, the simultaneous retail expansion aims to brings premium tyre solutions and world-class automotive services closer to its customers.
Each store has been developed in line with Michelin‘s global retail identity, featuring modern showrooms, dedicated display areas, multiple service bays, advanced equipment, and comfortable customer lounges, creating a seamless and professional ownership experience.
- The first store, inaugurated in partnership with Lal Enterprises, is strategically located in Gopalapuram, enhancing access to Michelin‘s premium tyre solutions and world-class automotive services for customers across the city’s central business and residential districts. Established in 1987, Lal Enterprises brings nearly four decades of expertise and is a trusted name in the tyre industry.
- Located in Adyar, the second store is opened in partnership with RR Tyres. The store serves the nearby areas of South Chennai including Besant Nagar, Thiruvanmiyur, ECR, and OMR corridors. RR Tyres brings 36 years of valued service and customer trust to the partnership.
- The third store, launched in partnership with Rao Tyres is located in Tambaram-Selaiyur, one of Chennai’s fast-growing residential and commercial neighbourhoods. Founded in 1992, Rao Tyres operates three outlets across the city and has partnered with Michelin for over 20 years. The new MTS outlet further strengthens its presence in South Chennai while offering customers access to premium tyre solutions.
- The fourth store, inaugurated in partnership with Lal Tyre Centre, is located in Maduravoyal. Conveniently situated with direct connectivity to the Chennai Bypass, the outlet provides easy access to key industrial and commercial hubs in western Chennai. Lal Tyre Centre brings over 25 years of expertise in the industry.
