Gurugram – Gang of Thars, the world’s largest community of off-roading enthusiasts, is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated annual event, The Grand Freedom Drive, in honor of India’s spirit of freedom and patriotism. This year’s event promises to surpass all expectations, bringing together a convoy of over 150-200 Thars for a momentous journey on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.
On 15th August 2023, marking India’s 76th Independence Day, participants from Delhi NCR and across the nation will join forces in this spectacular celebration of unity and freedom. The event will kick off early in the morning with the assembling of all Thars, followed by a flag-off for an exciting 120 KM long drive. The journey will culminate at a designated location, where a grand event will be held to commemorate the start of this extraordinary occasion. Attendees will be treated to live music, delectable food, and engaging games, adding to the excitement and camaraderie of the event.
The Grand Freedom Drive has become an annual tradition for the Gang of Thars community, signifying the historic significance of Independence Day and fostering a strong sense of camaraderie among off-roading enthusiasts. Last year, the community achieved a remarkable feat by hosting a drive of 112 Thars in a Single Convoy in Gurgaon, establishing a national record and spreading the message of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav with pride.
