Hyderabad, Sept 19, 2026: HCL Group, a US$14.8 billion global conglomerate, announced the upcoming edition of HCL Cyclothon Hyderabad, scheduled to take place on November 15, 2026. Held under the aegis of the Cycling Federation of India (CFI), in association with Sports Authority of Telangana and Telangana Government, the event will bring together professional and amateur cyclists for a day of competitive racing and community participation. Registrations are open until October 31, 2026.
The Hyderabad edition will feature four categories — Professional Elite Road Race, Amateur Road Race, Amateur MTB Race and Green Ride — catering to cyclists across experience levels. The Professional Elite Road Race will cover 54.6 km in a criterium format. The Amateur Road Race will offer 54.6 km and 23.4 km race distances, while the Amateur MTB Race will cover 22.4 km. The 10 km Green Ride, a non-competitive category, will be timed for the first time this year, enabling participants to record their completion time while retaining the inclusive, recreational nature of the ride.
The event will feature the Professional Elite Road Race, open to cyclists aged 18–40 years, with participation facilitated through the Cycling Federation of India (CFI). The Amateur Road Race and Amateur MTB Race will feature age categories of 18–30, 30–40, 40–50 and 50+ years, with prizes across categories.

Specific bicycle requirements will apply to the competitive categories. The Amateur Road Race will permit road, gravel and hybrid bicycles, subject to category-specific specifications, while the Amateur MTB Race will be restricted to MTB bicycles that meet the prescribed requirements. The Green Ride is open to all bicycle types. While participants’ completion times will be recorded, the category will remain non-competitive, with no rankings or prizes.
