Delhi, Dec 9:-The Government of Rajasthan is set to host the first-ever Pravasi Rajasthani Divas tomorrow, December 10, at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre This historic meet is expected to witness the participation of over 8,700 Non-Resident Rajasthanis and global business leaders, marking the state’s most significant formal engagement with its worldwide community.

Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, will deliver the keynote address, outlining his government’s vision for reconnecting the ties with the Pravasi Rajasthani Community, economic growth, global partnerships, and deeper cultural engagement. The event will be graced by the presence of Shri Piyush Goyal,Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, as well as the Governors of Rajasthan and Punjab, Ministers and officials of Government of Rajasthan, along with an array of distinguished policymakers, industrialists, investors, cultural icons, and diaspora leaders.
Ahead of the summit, Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma outlined an ambitious roadmap, inviting the global Rajasthani community to help build a $350 billion state economy by 2030.
“We have drawn up an action plan towards becoming a 350-billion-dollar economy in the next five years, and I invite you all to be a part of this historic growth story of Rising Rajasthan,” he said.
He emphasized that the diaspora plays a vital role in shaping Rajasthan’s ongoing transformative era of socio-economic development.
“Rajasthan is undergoing a transformative era of unprecedented socio-economic development, and the Pravasi Rajasthani community has a vital role to play in shaping this generational change,” he added.
A key highlight of the event will be the conferment of the first Pravasi Rajasthani Samman Awards, the highest state honour for Non-Resident Rajasthanis. These awards will recognise exceptional contributions across diverse fields including science, business, arts, sports, literature, cinema, music, and social service, celebrating the diaspora’s global accomplishments.
Structured around the actionable theme “Connect, Collaborate, Contribute,” the Divas will feature an exclusive NRR Roundtable and focused sessions on industry, tourism, education, healthcare, and water resources. The newly launched NRR Policy-2025 will be showcased, creating a dedicated framework for investment and knowledge exchange. The event will also pave the way for the ‘Rising Rajasthan Partnership Conclave’ on December 11–12.
The Pravasi Rajasthani Divas is a strategic initiative aligned with the national ‘Viksit Bharat’ vision, aiming to formally engage the diaspora as key partners in Rajasthan’s journey toward becoming a global economic player.
