Noida: Salaam Namaste Community Radio 90.4, a unit of IMS Noida, has been honoured for its significant contribution to community outreach, public engagement, and consumer awareness. The recognition was conferred by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Government of India, on the occasion of World Standards Day 2026.
Speaking about the achievement, Ms. Barsha Chhabaria, Station Head, Salaam Namaste Community Radio, informed that the honour was presented during a programme held at Gaur Sarovar, Greater Noida. The award was presented by Shri Bhal Chandra Tripathi, Chief Development Officer, Gautam Buddh Nagar; Ms. Sneh Lata, Deputy Director General, Central Region, Bureau of Indian Standards; Shri Kaushik Dutta, Head, BIS Noida; and Ms. G. Bhawani, Head, BIS Ghaziabad.
She stated that the recognition acknowledges Salaam Namaste’s dedicated efforts to disseminate useful information among communities, promote awareness of consumer rights, and actively participate in various public welfare and awareness initiatives.

World Standards Day is observed to highlight the importance of standards in everyday life and their contribution to quality, safety, and sustainable development. The 2026 observance highlights Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG 7), which focuses on affordable and clean energy, emphasising the importance of accessibility, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
