Flipkart Sets the Stage for The Big Billion Days 2026 with High-Energy Kick-off in Bengaluru

Flipkart, India’s homegrown e-commerce marketplace, kicked off the 13th edition of The Big Billion Days (TBBD) at its Bengaluru campus, marking the start of one of India’s most anticipated festive shopping moments.

Kick–off Celebrations

The event brought together Flipkart leaders and employees in a high-energy celebration as teams across the organisation prepared for the festive period. Flipkart leaders present included Kalyan Krishnamurthy, CEO, Flipkart Group; Ravi Iyer, SVP and CFO, Strategic Partnerships; Seema Nair, CHRO; Sakait Chaudhary, SVP and Head of Marketplace; Balaji Thiagarajan, CPTO; Hemant Badri, SVP and Head of Supply Chain; and Rajneesh Kumar, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer.

Speaking at the event, Kalyan Krishnamurthy, CEO, Flipkart Group said “The Big Billion Days has become a reflection of India’s growing aspirations, bringing together customers and sellers at a scale that is unique to our market. Over 1.4 million sellers across the country are looking to take their products to millions of customers through the reach and scale of our supply chain. With every edition, that opportunity has reached further, bringing more small businesses into digital commerce and giving customers across smaller towns access to greater choice. As India’s aspirations grow, so does the scale of The Big Billion Days, and we are proud to be part of that journey.”

Adding to the celebrations, Indian actor Aneet Padda joined the event at the Bengaluru campus as the organisation came together to mark the beginning of TBBD 2026.

In a symbolic start to the festive season, Hemant Badri, SVP and Head of Supply Chain, led a convoy of Flipkart Wishmasters at the official flag-off ceremony, setting the wheels in motion for the millions of festive deliveries that will make their way to customers across India.

Celebrating the People Behind TBBD

The scale of TBBD comes alive across Flipkart’s fulfilment centres, sortation facilities and last-mile hubs, where thousands of frontline team members work across functions to support operations during the festive period. Daily huddles, milestone activities, local initiatives and employee recognition programmes are also being held across locations to engage teams and recognise their contribution to delivering festive cheer at scale.

Alongside the celebrations, employee wellbeing and support remain an integral part of the experience. Across the peak festive period, Flipkart has put in place 24×7 medical support, dedicated rest areas, meals and refreshments, along with transport and safety measures for employees across shifts. Wellness spaces and activities, including meditation, mandala drawing, yoga and Zumba, offer employees opportunities to recharge through the high-energy festive period.

At Flipkart’s ETV campus, a Mini Delivery Hub has also been set up, allowing employees to conveniently collect their BBD orders from campus. Wellness and support initiatives are being extended across locations to help teams stay energised through the peak festive period.

This year, The Big Billion Days will bring together one of India’s largest festive selections, record seller participation, AI-powered shopping experiences and Flipkart’s most extensive supply chain network to date. Spanning Ekart and Flipkart Minutes across more than 8,200 fulfilment and delivery facilities nationwide, the network is geared to serve customers across India this festive season. Early Access begins October 8 for Plus, BLACK and Flipkart credit card members.
