Oct 06: Chestertons Global, the international arm of 220-year-old British real estate company Chestertons, has announced the appointment of Alasdair Hedley as Chief of Strategy and Expansion, based at its Global HQ in Dubai.
The appointment comes as Chestertons Global continues to grow its network, with recent expansion including a new office on the French Riviera in Nice, a dual-branded partnership in the Cayman Islands, a Marbella office within the legendary Marbella Club hotel, and expansion into St Vincent and the Grenadines. Alasdair’s appointment will support the next stage of this growth, with a focus on developing the network and identifying opportunities for further expansion.
Moving to Dubai from the UK, Alasdair brings more than two decades of experience in the property sector, having joined Countrywide as an agent in 2002 before going on to lead the development and implementation of the international strategy and affiliate programme for Countrywide/ Connells Group brands, including Hamptons International and John D Wood & Co. Through partnerships with 45 leading real estate brands worldwide, he has helped connect clients with international markets and represent around 150,000 properties across those markets.
“I have spent much of my career helping real estate businesses build relationships and grow across different markets, so this felt like a great opportunity to bring that experience to Chestertons Global. I look forward to strengthening relationships across our global network and leading our ambition to grow our presence in key markets. I am excited about the next chapter for this heritage British brand,” said Alasdair.
Mohamed Mussa, Managing Director of Chestertons Global, said: “Alasdair understands what it takes to nurture strong relationships across different markets, and that perspective will be particularly valuable. His role will help us create more opportunities for our members to collaborate, share expertise and access international markets, strengthening the value of being part of Chestertons Global network.”
