Asset management, ETF & capital markets veteran Keshava Shastry joins Carne Group

Monday, 14 September 2026 – Carne Group (Carne), Carne Group (Carne), Europe’s largest third-party management company (ManCo) and a leading provider of fund regulation and governance solutions, has appointed Keshava Shastry as Chief Capital Markets & Distribution Officer.

He will join Carne’s Group Executive Committee and strengthens Carne’s senior leadership team as the firm continues to execute its long-term growth strategy, focused on helping clients bring investment solutions to market faster, access new opportunities and grow while navigating an investment landscape undergoing significant structural change.

Investment markets are changing rapidly. ETFs and active & thematic ETFs continue to reshape public markets, private assets are becoming accessible to broader investor audiences, and advances in data, AI and digital infrastructure are creating new opportunities for product innovation and distribution. At the same time, these developments are increasing the complexity of decisions around product design, market structure, regulation, distribution, and investor access.

Carne’s established position across the fund lifecycle gives the Group a distinctive vantage point from which to help clients respond. By combining its regulatory, governance and operational expertise with deeper market insight and connectivity, Carne aims to help clients make better-informed decisions, reduce friction, bring investment solutions to market more effectively and pursue growth within robust governance and regulatory frameworks.

Keshava will work across Carne to strengthen the Group’s capabilities across capital markets, including ETFs, private markets, product structuring and distribution, while helping position the firm for broader investment-market opportunities and the evolution of digital and tokenised financial infrastructure.

With more than two decades of international executive experience building and scaling businesses and leading multi-disciplinary teams across global markets, ETFs, asset management, and financial infrastructure, Keshava brings a senior practitioner perspective that complements the deep regulatory, product and operational expertise already within Carne. He also brings longstanding institutional relationships across public and private markets.

Keshava joins from First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), where he was Senior Managing Director and Global Head of Sales, serving on the Global Markets Executive Committee.
Throughout his career, he has helped build and scale businesses, including across private-markets financing, investment solutions, and digital assets. Keshava spent more than a decade at Deutsche Bank and DWS, where he was Global Head of Capital Markets, managing trading eco-system partnerships and advising clients on asset allocation implementation as well as market structure and regulatory coordination.

He has also been Head of Capital Markets at Credit Suisse, and ran the iShares markets team at BlackRock and Barclays Global Investors.

Keshava has also served as Chair of both the Investment Association’s ETF committee and the European Fund and Asset Management Association’s ETF task force.

Keshava Shastry, Chief Capital Markets & Distribution Officer, said:
“As public and private markets become increasingly connected, and digital infrastructure enters mainstream finance, clients are asking for help in navigating a more complex set of choices around products, markets, and distribution.
Carne already has a distinctive foundation of independence, regulatory credibility, trusted client relationships and an embedded position across the fund lifecycle. I’m excited to work with colleagues across the firm, and our industry partners, to build on those strengths – bringing deeper market and practitioner insight to help clients make better decisions, access new opportunities, and launch products with greater speed and confidence, and grow.”

John Parkhouse, President of Carne Group, said:
“As we continue to execute Carne’s long-term growth strategy, we’re focused on building the capabilities our clients will need as markets, products and distribution models evolve in the months and years ahead.
Keshava is a highly execution-focused individual, with a rare combination of experience, that will help us bring market insight and execution closer together, so we can identify issues earlier, reduce friction and help clients bring the right solutions to market faster and more effectively.
He will also strengthen our fund product development, structuring and distribution intelligence capabilities, and represents a significant addition to our leadership, which is great news for Carne, and great news for our clients, so I’m delighted to be welcoming Keshava to the team.”
