New Delhi, Aug 3: In a major push to strengthen road safety through technology, the Centre has proposed new rules to introduce smart collision prevention systems in vehicles, aiming to reduce road accidents and save lives.

The proposed framework seeks to encourage the adoption of advanced driver-assistance technologies that can detect potential collisions, alert drivers to immediate dangers, and, in certain situations, assist in preventing accidents through automated safety interventions.
