Dec 29: Genius HRTech Limited  a leading provider of workforce staffing services and HR solutions, has released the findings of its latest Digipoll Survey, examining how Indian professionals perceive the rapid rise of Artificial Intelligence  in the workplace.

The survey, conducted among 1,704 professionals across various sectors, reveals a workforce that is cautiously optimistic leveraging AI for efficiency while expressing concerns about the pace of change and the growing skill expectations.

When asked whether they have started using AI tools to simplify or automate daily tasks, 67% of respondents said yes, indicating swift AI adoption across roles. However, the transition is not without challenges: 69% said AI has made their work processes simpler, while 25% felt it has added complexity, highlighting that AI reduces repetitive tasks but can introduce new hurdles.

Trust remains a significant barrier. Only 49% of professionals said they fully trust AI-generated insights without manual verification, while 36% do not, and 15% said trust depends on the task.

Training is another critical gap. A substantial 61% of respondents reported that their organisations have not provided adequate guidance on AI usage, while only 37% received proper training. This lack of structured support appears to shape perceptions of AI adoption: 55% believe it is driven by necessity, whereas 37% feel it is trend-driven.

AI is also reshaping work focus. When asked if AI helps them concentrate on more strategic or creative aspects of their roles, 58% agreed, and 26% said it does so to some extent, reflecting a gradual shift away from routine tasks.

A striking 71% of professionals believe their roles or responsibilities will significantly change over the next 2–3 years due to AI integration, indicating both anticipation and uncertainty. Despite this, employees are clear about their preferred future work model: 67% favour a balanced human–AI hybrid approach, while only 5% support complete automation.

Commenting on the findings, Mr. R P Yadav, Chairman and Managing Director of Genius HRTech Limited, said, “AI is no longer a distant concept—it is now shaping daily workflows across industries. Professionals value the efficiency it brings, but they also expect organisations to equip them with the right training and clarity. The future workplace will thrive only when human intelligence and AI complement each other, not compete.”

The report underscores that Indian professionals are ready for AI-driven transformation, but organisations must provide support, training, and clear direction to enable employees to navigate this new era confidently.
