The exercise began with the sounding of an emergency alarm, following which students were safely evacuated from classrooms to the designated assembly area through pre-identified evacuation routes. Teachers and staff closely monitored the process, ensuring that students moved in an orderly manner without panic, while strictly adhering to safety instructions. The drill also served as an evaluation of the school’s emergency response mechanism and evacuation planning.

As part of the initiative, the school’s Disaster Management Department conducted a live demonstration on the proper use of fire extinguishers. Students were introduced to the PASS technique Pull, Aim, Squeeze and Sweep allowing them to gain hands-on understanding of handling small fire incidents effectively.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal Neelima Kamrah emphasised the importance of preparedness, stating that regular mock drills play a vital role in making students alert, confident and capable of taking appropriate action during real-life emergencies.
