Reflecting this vision, Mr. Jitendra Agnihotri, CEO, S Chand Publishing (School Education), said;

“The Government, schools, teachers, and principals are the primary drivers of this vision – and textbooks play a crucial role in translating NCF 2023’s goals into classroom reality. Effective training, curriculum design, and pedagogy are most impactful when seamlessly integrated into well-designed textbooks. Our new series focus on future-ready skills, technological awareness, AI, SDGs, and vocational education, aligning directly with NCF 2023 priorities.”

He added;

“Our mission has always been to provide schools with meaningful learning solutions beyond academics. S Chand’s new series support educators and learners while aligning with national priorities. New Mylestone, Financial Literacy, Art Exploration, and My Wellbeing Book: Mind, Body, and Soul are designed to prepare students not just in knowledge, but also in character.”

New Mylestone (Nursery to Class 8)

A 360° future-ready course, New Mylestone reimagines classroom learning by integrating academics, values, life skills, and co-curricular growth. Developed per the latest NCERT syllabus, the series introduces Artificial Intelligence (AI), Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and STEAM-based projects, fostering critical thinking, innovation, and practical application of knowledge. Competency-based assessments ensure conceptual clarity and skill development, equipping students for a technology-driven and collaborative future.

Specialized Programs for Holistic Development;

  • Art Exploration (Classes 1–8): Encourages visual literacy, creativity, and craftsmanship through Art, Craft, and Photography. This series aligns with NCF’s emphasis on vocational and experiential learning, nurturing imagination, perspective, and creative confidence.

  • My Wellbeing Book: Mind, Body, and Soul (Classes 1–8): Focuses on social and emotional learning (SEL), supporting emotional and mental health through stories, reflections, and real-life contexts, fostering mindfulness, empathy, and resilience.

  • Financial Literacy (Classes 3–8): Developed in partnership with MoneyPrep Inc., this program teaches age-appropriate money management using real-world examples. Addressing a gap highlighted in a Muvin and Momspresso survey, which found 96% of Indian parents feel children lack financial knowledge, it covers saving, spending, budgeting, and entrepreneurship, supporting NEP 2020’s vision of financially informed citizens.

Dr. Priyamvada Agarwal, Publishing and Marketing Head, S Chand Publishing (School Education), said;

New Mylestone integrates AI and STEAM; Financial Literacy develops real-world understanding; Art Exploration fosters creative expression; and My Wellbeing focuses on life skills. Together, they create a holistic ecosystem for development, making learning joyful, inclusive, and deeply relevant to a child’s world.”
