Bhubaneswar, Nov 19: The Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI) Bhubaneswar Chapter marked a significant milestone on November 18 with the formal induction of its newly elected office bearers for the upcoming term at a grand ceremony held in Hotel Mayfair Convention, Bhubaneswar.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Suresh Pujari, Cabinet Minister, Revenue & Disaster Management, Government of Odisha, stated:

“When this government came into office, several issues were pending. The government is committed to resolving all such challenges. From December onwards, problems related to apartments and land registration will be resolved.”

During the ceremony, Mr. Sheikh Mairajul Haque was formally sworn in as the new President of CREDAI Bhubaneswar. The dynamic new team pledged to work toward ethical, transparent and sustainable development in Odisha’s real estate sector.

The newly elected leadership team comprises Mr. Shashi Sekhar Garabadu as Chairman, Mr. Sheikh Mairajul Haque as President, and Vice Presidents Mr. Sarat Kumar Sahoo and Mr. Manoj Kumar Sahoo. Mr. Kalinga Keshari Rath serves as Secretary, while Mr. Saubhagya Sundar Raut and Mr. Naval Mahajan take on the roles of Joint Secretaries. Mr. Manmohan Agrawalla has been appointed as Treasurer.

The Management Committee Members include Mr. Abhay Kumar Panda, Mr. Aditya Dash, Mr. Manas Kumar Behera, Mr. Ashwini Kumar Padhi, A. Mohan Rao, Ronak Dugar, Debasis Das, and Pradeep Kumar Das.

Minister for Excise, Law & Works, Shri Prithviraj Harichandan, highlighted the government’s development roadmap:

“After our government assumed office, rapid holistic development has begun. Plans include three new ring roads within Bhubaneswar and another peripheral ring road outside the city. These roads will accelerate urban development. Over the next 3–4 years, we plan to create commercial infrastructure of 10 million square meters to boost the IT sector. Additionally, the proposed 20 major roads will make the city congestion-free.”

The oath to the new team was administered by Mr. Madhu Mohanty, Founder Vice President, CREDAI National, in the presence of Mr. Mohammed Moquim, Founder Member, CREDAI Odisha along with senior leaders and dignitaries. Newly elected President Mr. Sheikh Mairajul Haque shared his vision and roadmap focusing on government collaboration, strict RERA compliance, and the promotion of affordable and sustainable housing.

The ceremony was graced by Ministers and MLAs, including Shri Babu Singh (Ekama, Bhubaneswar) and Ms. Sofia Firdaus (Barabati, Cuttack), who praised CREDAI’s contribution to Odisha’s urban development. They assured continued government support for resolving legacy issues, facilitating project approvals, enabling ethical real estate practices and strengthening RERA implementation.

Mr. Swadesh Kumar Routray, Vice President, CREDAI National & President of CREDAI Odishaand Mr. Binay Krishna Das, Vice Chairman, Mr. P. R. Maharana, Advisory Board Member, Mr. Umashankar Panigrahy, President (Elect), Mr. Santosh Sahoo, Vice President, Mr. Anil Kumar Agarwal, Secretary, also attended the ceremony and extended their best wishes to the new team.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Umesh Khandelwal, Vice President, CREDAI Odisha State Federation.
