London, 9th october 2025 – Civo, a leading sovereign cloud and AI platform, today announced a major update on the company’s strategic direction at Civo Navigate London, its annual gathering of cloud and AI industry leaders. The company introduced its new ‘Built for More’ vision, emphasizing enhanced control, performance, and possibilities for users in a privacy-first, AI-ready cloud environment.

The announcement coincides with the integration of ServerChoice, a UK-based data centre specialist, further strengthening Civo’s UK operations, local talent pool, and data centre capabilities. This strategic alignment underlines Civo’s commitment to delivering sovereign cloud infrastructure that combines the freedom of public cloud with the control of private cloud.

Mark Boost, CEO of Civo, said:
“Businesses today need more from their cloudsimplicity, privacy, and the power to run AI at scale. That’s why we built Civo: to give companies complete freedom over infrastructure and data, with a platform purpose-built for an AI-driven world.”

The ‘Built for More’ strategy is structured around three core pillars:

  • More Control: Sovereign, secure compute environments that allow businesses to manage data, features, and costs without compromise.

  • More Power: CivoStack, Civo’s custom software stack, ensures feature parity across public and private clouds, providing consistency, flexibility, and future-proof performance.

  • More Possibilities: Enabling enterprise innovation with CivoAI for AI workloads and FlexCore, Civo’s all-in-one cloud solution, shipped directly to customers worldwide.

Civo’s platform is already being adopted by leading organisations, including the University of Oxford and Orbital Materials, to power critical AI and sustainability projects.

Daniel Miodovnik, COO of Orbital Materials, said:
“Civo gives us the flexibility and performance to develop world-leading AI models, including Orb, the fastest and most accurate AI model for advanced material simulation.”

Professor Regent Lee, University of Oxford, added:
“Civo’s infrastructure accelerates AI research in radiology, improving patient outcomes while reducing the carbon footprint of large-scale data processing.”

The press release also highlights support from political leadership:

Julia Lopez MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Science, Innovation & Technology, said:
“As we enter this next phase of cloud and AI, it is vital to support UK tech companies and maintain sovereignty, security, and resilience while fostering competition.”

Looking ahead, Civo plans significant expansion over the next 18 months, including new data centres in Europe and Asia, a second European region by mid-2026, and Middle East expansion in 2027. Current regions include the US, UK, Germany, and India.

Civo Navigate London also showcased upcoming product developments:

  • FlexCore: Cloud-in-a-box solution for seamless public and private cloud workloads.

  • Expanded GPU capabilities: Nvidia B200 support for generative AI and high-performance workloads.

  • relaxAI: Privacy-focused AI assistant for controlled, sovereign AI applications.

These initiatives reinforce Civo’s mission to simplify cloud infrastructure while empowering businesses to leverage AI securely and efficiently.
