Leh, Feb 03: Defending champions Kangs Sing faced table-toppers Humas Warriors in a thrilling Day 5 encounter of the Royal Enfield Ice Hockey League Season 3 at the Nawang Dorjay Stobdan (NDS) Stadium, Leh. Organised in partnership with the UT Administration of Ladakh and the Ice Hockey Association of Ladakh, the closely contested fixture saw Kangs Sing clinch victory with a dramatic late goal in the final 30 seconds.

Earlier in the day, Shakar Chiktan Royals secured a solid win, United Nubra celebrated their first victory of the season, and Changathang Shans delivered the highest-scoring performance of the day.
Shakar Chiktan Royals opened the day with a 3–1 win over Purig Warriors. Captain Shabir Shah gave the Royals an early lead with a tap-in in the third minute, before Sajjad Jr equalised shortly after. Ashiq Hussain restored the Royals’ advantage with a swift run through the Purig defence, sending his team into the final period in front. Ashiq added his second midway through the 13th minute, converting a rebound off the goalkeeper’s pads to seal the result.
United Nubra registered their first win of the league with a hard-fought 3–2 victory over Changla Blasters. Stanzin Chotak opened the scoring for Nubra midway through the first period. Stanzin Norboo equalised in the final minute, but Rigzin Norboo restored Nubra’s lead with a wrist flick in the last 20 seconds to make it 2–1 at the break. Changla drew level again through Konchok Namdol, before Rigzin Norboo struck his second goal in the fifth minute with a wrist shot from centre ice to secure the win.
In the next fixture, Changathang Shans dominated Sham Wolves with a commanding 7–2 victory. Chamba Tsetan opened the scoring, followed by goals from Rigzin Chosphel and Tsering Norboo to make it 3–0. Stanzin Jambal scored twice, while Padma Namgyal and Rinchen Gurmet added one each to complete the tally. Sham Wolves responded through Jigmet Chotar and Urgain Chosjor, but were unable to reduce the deficit.
The final match of the day saw defending champions Kangs Sing edge past Humas Warriors 3–2 in a tense contest. Stanzin Chozang gave Kangs the lead with a drag shot, before Waseem Bilal levelled for Humas. Stanzin Phuntsog restored Kangs’ advantage with a tap-in, but Bilal struck again to make it 2–2. With the match heading for a draw, Amir Din scored the decisive goal with just 30 seconds remaining to secure a dramatic win for Kangs Sing.
League action resumes on Tuesday, February 03, 2026, with a four-match schedule. United Nubra will face Shakar Chiktan Royals in the opening game, followed by Zanskar Chadar Tamers against Maryul Spawo. Purig Warriors will then take on Kharu Falcons, before Humas Warriors meet Changla Blasters in the final fixture of the day.
