Winter is a season that wraps the world in a gentle coolness, bringing with it a sense of comfort and togetherness. It is a time when families gather around warm meals, when the air carries the aroma of seasonal delicacies, and when memories are woven into every cozy moment. From steaming cups of chai to hearty home-cooked meals, winter has a unique way of bringing people closer and filling hearts with warmth. This year, Sony SAB’s beloved artists share their cherished winter memories, favorite seasonal foods, and what makes this season so special to them, as they celebrate the comfort and nostalgia that winter brings into their lives.

Neha SK Mehta, who plays Hetal Divekar in Itti Si Khushi, shared; “Growing up between Vadodara and Ahmedabad, winter was always special in our Gujarati household. My mother would begin preparing traditional winter dishes like undhiyu as soon as the temperature dipped. I remember sitting with my grandmother in the early morning chill, helping her roll til ke laddoo – the warmth of the kitchen and her stories made those moments truly magical. Even now, no matter how busy I am on set, I make sure to start a winter morning with a warm cup of milk, turmeric, and jaggery. For me, winter is all about simple comforts, being with loved ones, and creating memories that last.”
Nitin Babu, who portrays Chirag in Pushpa Impossible, shared; “Winter holds a very special place in my heart because it reminds me of my homeland – Bhaderwah in Jammu and Kashmir. Growing up in the mountains, I remember how winters would transform everything into a pristine white landscape. My mother used to prepare ‘wazwan’ – the traditional Kashmiri cuisine – and the entire house would be filled with the aroma of aromatic spices and slow-cooked meat. I have vivid memories of sitting by the bukhari with my family and enjoying kahwa tea. Even today, whenever winter arrives, I feel this deep connection with those days. I am a nature lover, and for me, the mountains during winter are the best therapists for my soul. Winter is about slowing down, reconnecting with what truly matters, and finding peace in simplicity.”
Pooja Katurde, who plays Prarthana in Pushpa Impossible, shared; “For me, winter is all about the food! Coming from Pune, I grew up loving the cooler months because of the traditional Marathi winter treats. My favorite memories are of my grandmother making til-gud ladoo during winter. What I love most about winter is that it brings everyone closer – there’s something about cold weather that makes families huddle together, share meals, and create bonds that last long after the season ends. Even now, during shoots, I try to carry these traditions with me, enjoying warm food and spending time with my co-stars. Winter, for me, is a reminder of home, family, and the beauty of simple, heartfelt moments.”
Shrenu Parikh, who essays the role of Goddess Parvati in Gatha Shiv Parivaar Ki – Ganesh Kartikey, shared; “Winter is my favorite season because of the warmth it brings to people and families. Growing up in Vadodara, I have beautiful memories of winters with my family – the festivals, the traditional food, and those quiet moments together. What I love most is how winter naturally brings people closer. I’m someone who practices yoga regularly and believes in slowing down during this season, enjoying warm meals with loved ones, and spending quality time reflecting. Winter reminds me of home and family traditions. Even now, with my busy shooting schedule, I make sure to cherish these simple, meaningful moments.”
