Hyderabad, Jan 9: Kotak Alternate Asset Managers Limited (“Kotak Alts”) has announced the launch of the inaugural Kotak Alts Katalyst Awards, a first-of-its-kind initiative aimed at recognising and celebrating India’s most impactful financial vodcasts. Featuring a winner-takes-all prize of Rs. 25 lakhs, the awards seek to set a new benchmark for credible, high-quality financial content that empowers young and first-time investors.

The initiative underscores Kotak Alts’ commitment to promoting financial literacy by honouring creators who simplify complex financial concepts, foster trust, and drive informed investing decisions. Aspiring participants can submit one standout vodcast that was publicly available on YouTube and released between 1 January 2025 and 31 December 2025. Submissions are open until 31 January 2026 via katalyst.kotakalternateasset.com.

Following the submission phase, entries will be evaluated by a distinguished panel of industry experts based on content quality, originality, and audience engagement.

Commenting on the launch, Srini Srinivasan, Managing Director, Kotak Alts, said:

India is witnessing its largest-ever wave of financial participation. Millions of new investors are seeking clarity in a digital ecosystem crowded with fragmented advice and shortcuts. Podcasts and vodcasts have emerged as powerful tools for financial education, but quality and credibility vary widely. Katalyst aims to bridge this gap by spotlighting creators who simplify complexity, build trust, and make financial learning engaging and actionable.”

Eligibility and Submission Guidelines:

  • Indian citizen residing in India with valid ID proof

  • Minimum 50,000 YouTube subscribers as of 31 December 2025

  • At least one year of experience producing financial literacy vodcasts, with a minimum of three advisory episodes by 31 December 2025

  • Submission of one vodcast (minimum 5 minutes) released between 1 January and 31 December 2025

  • Content must focus on simplifying finance for young and first-time investors, in English or major Indian languages with English subtitles

  • Entries will be judged on quality, originality, and audience engagement

  • Jury details and evaluation methodology will be announced shortly
