Kochi, 1st November, 2025: Federal Bank has invited nominations for the fourth edition of its prestigious Federal Bank Literary Award, an annual literary award that celebrates outstanding contributions to Malayalam literature.

The award, carrying a cash prize of INR 1 lakh and a memento, is open for nominations of original Malayalam works published between November 1, 2024, and October 31, 2025. Authors, publishers, and readers can each nominate up to three books through the link available on the Bank’s website: Federal Bank Literary Award  The last date for nominations is November 15, 2025.

“Federal Bank through its Sahithya Puraskaram, celebrates the writers who continue to shape our cultural narrative, spark conversations, and preserve the richness of our language. It’s a small tribute to the immense power of words.” said MVS Murthy, Chief Marketing Officer, Federal Bank.

All eligible entries will be reviewed by a distinguished panel of literary experts, who will select the winning book. The award will be presented at the Kerala Literature Festival 2026, to be held at Kozhikode Beach in January 2026.

Past winners of the Federal Bank Sahithya Puraskaram include “Oranveshanathinte Katha” by K Venu, “Kara” by Sara Joseph, and “Thapomayiyute Achan” by E Santhosh Kumar works that have enriched Malayalam literature and inspired new generations of readers.
